All-Armenian Tell-a-Thon was a 12-hour live show about corruption in Armenia and “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, broadcast on November 28, 2013, in Glendale, CA. The entire show is presented in 9 videos.
“Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund has caused the American Media Group of America (AMGA) a loss of $12,000 for broadcasting The Truth Must Be Told TV Show. Frustrated by the acute criticism of Armenia’s authorities and itself made during The Truth Must Be Told TV Show, “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund made a phone call to the TV studio on November 26, 2013 and announced the cancellation of their preliminary agreement to broadcast the Fund’s Telethon on November 28, 2013. The Fund representative also threatened to have all the businesses to boycott the channel, and even to have channel shut down.
As a result, AMGA allowed Ara K. Manoogian, the author of The Truth Must Be Told TV Show, and Harout Bronozian, the author of Return to Armenia, to use the 12 hours of live air time for their programming. They used the opportunity to inform the TV audience about corruption in the Armenian Government and “Hayastan” All-Armenian Fund, answered TV viewers’ phone calls, and also tried to raise enough funds to pay off the loss that AMGA incurred due to the unexpected breach of the contract with “Hayastan” Fund.
The guests of the 12-hour live show were Angela Barseghian, Hamlet Nersisyan, Armen Barseghyan, Anahit Martirosyan, and Naira Khachatrian.
