This is the recording of the 9th episode of Truth Must Be Told TV Show. It was a live call-in show with regard to Karekin II and his fraudulent election.
On April 20, 2013, one day after Epress.am republished Ara Manoogian’s article regarding the October 27, 1999 election fraud which resulted in enthroning Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, Fr. Vahram Melikian, Chief Spokesman of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, was quick to issue an official response and refute Manoogian’s statements about voter fraud that marred the election in question. Fr. Melikian stated: “It is an overly mean step on the part of the author of the article and disrespect toward the memory of the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom II Manoogian.” Fr. Melikian went on to say that Manoogian’s claims were “absolute nonsense.” Effectively, Catholicos-Elect Karekin II is denying not only the occurrence of election fraud, but also having spoken about it to Archbishop Torkom II Manoogian, the late Patriarch of Jerusalem.
Although, on the Internet, there are allegations of electoral fraud that occurred during the Catholicos’ election in 1999, Ara Manoogian has referred to two real-life sources that confirmed the fact of election fraud.
Date: April 19, 2013
Reverend Father Vahram Melikyan, Chief Spokesman of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, described American-Armenian reporter Ara Manoogian’s article, to which Epress.am referred yesterday, as “absolute nonsense”.
In the article, Ara Manoogian says that voter bribes were given during the election of the Catholicos of All Armenians in 1999; and Manoogian’s uncle, the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom II Manoogian, had brought up the issue during a conversation with Karekin II.
Ara K. Manoogian was the guest of Harut Bronozian’s Veradardz TV show on April 18, 2013. The topics of the discussion is the electoral fraud in the 2013 presidential election in Armenia, as well as the issue of boycotting Serzh Sargsyan’s supporters. Click here to learn more about Boycotting Serzh Supporters.
Boycott Serzh Supporters is a worldwide, unaffiliated Armenian community group that condemns Serzh Sargsyan’s usurpation of Armenia’s presidential office for a second 5-year term (2013-2018) by rigging the election.
Many Armenian Apostolic Christians were very disappointed to see Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, lay his hand on Serzh Sargsyan’s head, extending his Pontifical blessings to him on the occasion of the inauguration of the President of the Republic of Armenia, on April 9, 2013. The actions of Karekin II have widely been interpreted as blessing the widespread and well-documented electoral fraud committed to skew the outcome in favor of Serzh Sargsyan. But, perhaps, few of them know what might have made Karekin II more tolerant toward illegitimacy and fraud on such a grand scale.
This is a compilation of various fragments from Ara K. Manoogian’s cross-country trip from Los Angeles, CA, to Washington, D.C., for the sake of democracy and rule of law.
A roundtable on Election/Post-Election developments in Armenia was organized by Policy Forum Armenia, on April 8, 2013, in Washington, D.C.
